Romania: Sinaia
Saturday Night LiveSaturday, September 10 2005
Anyway, once we arrived in Sinaia we were approached by a women and an elderly man who were offering a room for rent in their house. I wasn't feeling it, but we decided to give it a look because Sinaia is really small so the extra walk wouldn't be that far. Unfortunately the room wasn't what we had in mind so we continued our search and found a nice 2 star hotel which offered some privacy. We got settled in before we took a walk around the town. Since we were in town on a Saturday the town seemed very tourist oriented, but it was still a really cute mountain town. Later that night we grabbed some groceries and found out that Romania recycles their bottles so when our groceries were rang up she had included the bottle deposit on our bill. The funny part was that the deposit for two bottles of beer was equivalent to one full beer. Who knows, maybe we can pick up beer bottles for extra money and extend our trip. Our room also included cable TV so later that night we watched a rerun of SNL which originally aired right before the last elections. It was hilarious for the content and for the fact that we were watching it in a small town in Romania. |
