Clean Up You Bums

February 17, 2006

Today was the day to remove the backpacker look. We’ve been looking forward to this for a while. We both treated ourselves to a day at the spa. We both got haircuts, facials and a back massage, but we still felt grungy in our backpacker clothes. We headed to the mall where I bought a pair of jeans and a new shirt. I hadn’t worn a pair of jeans in a year. It felt so good since the windy city weather was biting through my backpacker pants.

Dena drove in from Des Moines later that day. We went out to dinner with her at the restaurant where Erin worked. We thought we were going to hit the town that night but decided to retire early and make it up tomorrow night.
